AbstractMycoplasma penetrans prevalence was assessed in urogenital samples from men screened for Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Prevalence was 3.5% among men who have sex with men and 5.3% among human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)–positive patients, significantly higher than in HIV-negative individuals (0.4%, P = .0016). No association was found between M. penetrans and urogenital symptoms.Read less <
