In this article, we present a prototype and an experimentation that validate the following hypothesis: "it is possible to lead and to guide someone towards a point of interest by using vibrations coming from a mobile device". This hypothesis' validation is essential for the design of the aimed system: TactiMod. Using TactiMod a pedestrian is able to go from point A to point B while concentrating on a different activity from the one of finding his/her way. As a first practical application, we take the context of a huge museum. There, the main activity is to look at works of art. Then, we show, in this context, the use and the usability of such tactile mobile device which allows the visitor to follow a course of interest.< Réduire
