Ils se considèrent comme « victimes » au sens de l’article 34 de la Convention européenne de sauvegarde des droits de l’homme et des libertés fondamentales, des dispositions contenues dans la loi française du 13 avril 2016 (loi n° 2016-444 « visant à renforcer la lutte contre le système prostitutionnel et à accompagner les personnes prostituées » incriminant l’achat de relations sexuelles même entre adultes consentants). | |
| dc.description.abstractEn | On August 31, 2023, the 5th section of the European Court of Human Rights declared admissible the application lodged against France by 261 men and women working as sex workers. They consider themselves to be "victims" within the meaning of Article 34 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, of the provisions contained in the French law of April 13, 2016 (Law no. 2016-444 "aimed at strengthening the fight against the prostitutional system and supporting prostitutes" criminalizing the purchase of sexual relations even between consenting adults). | |
