The behavior of architected materials depends on the bulk material and its porous structure. Mechanical properties of parts produced by additive manufacturing highly depends on the parameters of the process. This work focuses on the behavior of metallic architected structures under compressive loading, considering both the 3D printing strategy and morphology of the architecture. Tri-hexagonal structures in 316L steel are fabricated by LMD-P and SLM and tested under quasi-static compressive loading. The structure of the bulk material is also studied through microscopic observations. This paper presents the experimental set-up and the corresponding characteristics obtained.< Réduire
