Many of the challenges posed can as well be converted to opportunities, depending on how a nation responds. A number of nations have enacted legislation that are tolerant to dual and multiple citizenship in order to create stronger ties to emigrated nationals for economic reasons. Other nations have embraced the concept to integrate immigrants into the nation’s social, political and economic fabric of the society.
