Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) is defined by an abnor albumin excretion rate or a reduced glomerular filtra, rate (GFR) which must be estimated from creatininemia. best way to estimate the GFR is the CKD-EPI (Chronic KiG Disease EPIdemiology) equation. Recent studies have she that normoalbuminuric DKD are frequent, their progress factors are not the same as for albuminuria, and they also associated to a high cardiovascular risk. The progression DKD to end-stage renal disease is less frequent since the 15 about 5-10% in cohorts from North Europe, but 60% of children who were included in the Pittsburgh cohort progre. to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) after 50 years of diabe Skin autofluorescence is correlated to the concentratior advanced glycation end-products in tissues. This mark metabolic memory is increased both in diabetes and in chro kidney disease even without diabetes. Skin autofluoresa and vascular complications of diabetes are very hig patients with DKD, and relations between autofluoresce and vascular complications of diabetes are no longer for in this population.< Réduire
