L’Institut de Chimie et de Biologie des Membranes et des Nano-objets (CBMN) UMR 5248 est rattaché à l’Université de Bordeaux, au CNRS, à Bordeaux INP et à Bordeaux Sciences Agro. La mission du CBMN est d'apporter une connaissance fondamentale de phénomènes chimiques et biologiques complexes en les analysant à plusieurs échelles spatiales et dynamiques. A côté des aspects de recherche fondamentaux, l’UMR développe aussi des aspects très appliqués.
