In 2012-2013, France has seen strong protests against Same-sex Marriage. Beside the Manif Pour Tous association, many women's groups emerged to claim their opposition to the destruction of natural family. Some of them claim their Catholicism and set up editorial activities to set bridges between ecology and Christianism. They refer to Jacques Ellul writings or Bernard Charbonneau, but also to Ivan Illich views on technology, gender roles, biopower or education. Students who participated in the mobilization against the Same-Sex Marriage founded the Limite magazine to provide an extended range of views on contemporary issues driven by ecology. Marianne Durano, one of the founders, mobilizes integral ecology to reclaim women' subjectivity and autonomy. Her "integral feminism" offers a specific rhetoric on gender, women and nature to oppose contemporary liberal feminism. To which extent this new frame allows encounters between radical ecology and Christian ecology? How this rhetoric shapes ordinary practices and conservative eco-feminism? And how does it differ from previous christian eco-feminism? This paper shows how ecological rhetorics define a political subject distinct from liberal, intersectional or queer feminist politics. It focuses on women self-help and autonomy ranging from reproductive issues to women's career. We base our communication on observations, deep interviews, informal conversations and on-line analysis (website, Facebook) realized between 2014 and 2018. This material is completed by the extensive analysis of Feminist Integral publications and women's related articles published in Limite review.< Réduire
