After $^{45}$Fe, another precursor nucleus for two-proton radioactivity has been observed: $^{54}$Zn. It has been produced and identified in an experiment performed at the GANIL/LISE3 facility. In addition to this first observation of $^{54}$Zn and its two-proton decay, the experiment allowed for a confirmation of previous results on the two-proton decay of $^{45}$Fe and of the existence of $^{48}$Ni, and gave first indications about its decay.< Réduire
