| dc.description | The 2018 World Conference on Natural Resource Modeling will be held on 9-13th June 2018 in Guangzhou, China.This year the #WCNRM 2018 is co-organized by South China Agricultural University. For a hundred years,South China Agricultural University has developed into a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive university comprised ofthe disciplines of agriculture, engineering, liberal arts, basic sciences, economics, management, law, education, historyand philosophy. Through its 2 900 faculty and staff as well as 43000 students among which 5500 are mastersand doctoral students, SCAU has always been contributing to the development of agriculture and society in China.The theme of the #WCNRM 2018 conference focuses on biodiversity conservation and sustainable development,which aims at balancing social, economic and ecological dimensions especially in developing countries where thesevere environmental problems affect the economic growth. Thus, the conference will pay special attentions on forestbiodiversity, agricultural development, water resources management, and rural livelihood issues to promote a harmonious and sustainable development. | |
