| dc.description.abstract | Poursuivant les travaux engagés en 2024, la campagne 2025 (30 juin – 25 juillet), réalisée dans le cadre du programme EASP, en collaboration avec l'ESAG, a élargi la zone étudiée à plusieurs secteurs de la plaine d’Amarynthos. L’objectif principal était d’affiner la cartographie des activités sidérurgiques dans le territoire érétrien et d’envisager l’articulation entre extraction, réduction et forge. Malgré une conservation souvent limitée par les labours modernes, plusieurs ensembles cohérents de vestiges ont été identifiés, suggérant l’existence d’ateliers ruraux. Ces résultats renforcent l’hypothèse d’une organisation intégrée de la production du fer à l’échelle du territoire. | |
| dc.description.abstractEn | Following the 2024 investigations, the 2025 survey (June 30 – July 25), carried out in the frame of the EASP Programm, in collaboration with the ESAG, extended research to new areas of the Amarynthos plain. Its main goal was to refine the mapping of ironworking activities across the Eretrian territory and to examine the connections between ore extraction, smelting, and forging. Although preservation was often limited by modern ploughing, several coherent clusters of remains were documented, suggesting the existence of rural workshops. The results strengthen the hypothesis of an integrated iron-production system operating at the territorial level. | |
