An environmental struggle against a major dam project on the River Aoos has been waged since 2013 by a collective of artists who have taken over the village of Vovousa (in the eastern part of the municipality of Zagori and at the heart of the Northern Pindus National Park). This article focuses on the analysis of the dynamics of various fronts in order to interpret the power issues at stake in this multi-scale creative struggle. The artistic revival of a dormant eco-frontier, linked to a weakened national park, has led to the rebirth of a new power of influence in Vovousa. This is being done in the service of the resurrection of a village with a complex history: by possibly linking up with a tourist front located to the west of the municipality of Zagori, and by its unexpected attempt to capture an energy front that had been fought against up until then.
