| dc.description.abstract | Les mutations du paysage politique à partir de la fin du XIIIe entrainent une nouvelle valence des animaux intégrée à une rhétorique spectaculaire du pouvoir. Disposer des objets que le corps social considère propres à la noblesse est indispensable pour paraître noble. L’animal est le support de la démonstration de la richesse ainsi que l’affirmation du pouvoir grâce à la force symbolique du spectacle de la domination ou mise à mort. Les festivités autour de l’animal sont une occasion de rassemblement selon un axe horizontal et selon l’axe vertical de la hiérarchie sociale. | |
| dc.description.abstractEn | The changes in the political landscape from the end of the 13th century onwards led to a new appreciation of animals as part of a spectacular rhetoric of power. To appear noble, it was essential to possess the objects that the social body considered proper to nobility. Animals were used to demonstrate wealth and assert power through the symbolic force of the spectacle of domination or killing. The festivities around the animal are an opportunity to gather together along horizontal and vertical axes of social hierarchy. | |
