| dc.description.abstract | L'auteur propose une discussion méthodologique concernant l'étude des industries lithiques du Paléolithique supérieur : le principe de la typologie statistique, les facteurs externes influençant les productions humaines, la représentativité des séries « anciennes » et les traitements quantitatifs par analyse des données. Nous rappelons brièvement les arguments archéologiques, stratigraphiques et paléoclimatiques ayant permis d'établir une nouvelle structure chronologique des faciès industriels du Gravettien français et de corriger le modèle de D. Peyrony. Sur ces bases, nous suggérons une interprétation contradictoire de l'outillage du site de plein-air de Saint-Julien (Charente Maritime). | |
| dc.description.abstractEn | The author propose a methodological discussion concerning the study of the lithic industries of the upper Palaeolithic : the principle of the statistical typology, the external factors influencing the human productions, the representativeness of the « old » series and the quantitative treatments by data analysis. We briefly remind the archaeological, stratigraphical and palaeoclimatological arguments allowing us to establish a new chronology of the industrial facies of the french Gravettian and to correct the Peyrony's model. On these basis, we suggest a contradictory interpretation of the tool assemblage of the open air site of Saint-Julien (Charente Maritime). | |
