dc.description.abstractEn70 km from the eruptive source, the products of the Avellino plinian eruption are represented by tephriphonolitic pumice named Ariano Tephra which are characteristic of the terminal paroxysmal activity. tephras preserved in situ are indicative of a large and thick cover, which environmental impact cannot be understimated.
