| dc.description.abstractEn | This chapter presents an overview of the infrastructure of research that has evolved for the support of local government studies in political science since the 1970s. We shall successively deal with national research institutions, international scientific networks, and finally information and publication resources. The emphasis of the presentation is on research centres and networks that pursue a predominantly political science oriented agenda, although some institutions of a more multi-disciplinary nature will also be mentioned. | |
