dc.description.abstractEn | In this paper, we tackle the problem of solving the system of radiative heat transfer coupled with thediffusion equation for material temperature with a full Monte-Carlo (MC) scheme in heterogeneousmedia, i.e. possibly containing discontinuities of thermophysical material parameters. MC schemesbased on Brownian paths for the diffusion equation in layered media are known to present someissues: corrections at the interface between media are usually mandatory or must be replaced withcomplex samplings. In this paper, based on the observations that transport models are easily solvedby MC methods in layered media, and that state-of-the-art MC schemes capture the diffusion limit,we suggest to build a phonon like model and to solve it with an MC scheme. For capturing thediffusion limit, physical constraints are explicited and enforced within the MC resolution. Theseconstraints can even help revisiting the Brownian paths for efficient corrections. Numerical resultsare provided in different regimes in order to highlight the relevance of the strategies suggested inthis paper. | |
