dc.description.abstractLes auteurs examinent tout d'abord l'évolution des paléomilieux physiques et biologiques entre 1,5 et 0,1 Ma en Basse-Auvergne et Velay. Ils posent ensuite le problème de la réalité des industries anciennes du Massif Central français et sur la foi des découvertes récentes, proposent un essai de succession des technocomplexes : à partir d'assemblages de galets taillés, l'émergence de la technologie du biface, de la production systématique d'éclats et enfin du concept Levallois en sont les principales étapes.
dc.description.abstractEnEvolution of palaeoenvironnements between 1.5 and 0.1 Ma is first examined. Then, the problem of earliest lithic assemblages of Massif Central is discussed : evidence for artefacts older than 1,0 Ma.remains to demonstrate. According with recent discoveries, a regional model of evolution is suggested. From pebble-tools assemblages, the main stages are handaxes technology and systematic flaking, then Levallois concept.
