| dc.description.abstract | Créateur de jardins et paysagiste espagnol parmi les plus important du début du XX ème siècle, Javier de Winthuysen (1874-1956) fut également précurseur dans la réflexion sur l'enseignement dans le domaine du jardin et du paysage. Pourtant la dimension pédagogique de sa réflexion et de son oeuvre n'a été jusqu'à présent que peu étudiée. Les lignes qui suivent visent à combler en partie cette lacune. On suppose en effet que la dimension pédagogique de l'oeuvre de Winthuysen constitue une entrée extrêmement pertinente afin de comprendre en profondeur la pensée d'un paysagiste qui n'a eu de cesse de rapporter la question de l'art des jardins et le rôle du paysagisme aux débats de société et aux controverses intellectuelles qui agitèrent son époque. | |
| dc.description.abstractEn | One of the most important Spanish garden and landscape designers of the early 20th century, Javier de Winthuysen (1874-1956) was also a pioneer in the reflection on education in the field of garden and landscape. Yet the educational dimension of his reflection and his work has been little studied so far. The following lines aim to partially fill this gap. The educational dimension of Winthuysen's work is thought to constitute an extremely pertinent way into understanding in depth the thought of a landscape designer who never ceased to relate the question of the art of gardens and the role of landscape design to the social debates and the intellectual controversies that agitated his time. | |
