| dc.description.abstractEn | This article briefly lists the living languages of regions within metropolitan France. There are nearly twenty of them. This is a snapshot of this language diversity: the position of the languages, their development in recent years and the language policies in place. However, it should be emphasised that figures, indications or surveys are in general scarce and uneven. The commitment of the authorities and society in these different regions also varies. The legal framework, on the other hand, is equally unfavourable everywhere: French is the only official language. All these languages are at risk, but to varying extents. | |
