dc.description.abstractEn	Despite the good intentions of national politicians and the efforts made by European parliamentary authorities, this electoral campaign has, once again, lacked any real depth. This is due to a combination of a number of familiar, recurring factors : poor contributions from political parties, lack of interest from the media, and the campaign's focus on national issues or on issues that have little to do with the election.
