To date there has been no model really able to predict the behaviour of steel fiber reinforced concrete. By referring to the experimental design theory, which allows us to adopt a formal procedure in terms of test definition and to assess the reliability of the experimental results, we analyse the behaviour of steel fiber reinforced concrete when subjected to uniaxial tension. The influence of 8 characteristic parameters (factors) of the material on the ultimate tensile strength ft and the fracture energy Gf is analysed. Particular attention is devoted to the study of the heterogeneity and anisotropy of the material.Read less <
