The professional training of football coaches in France aims to develop an effective coach with high coaching efficacy. Currently, training is structured through the principle of alternation, the development of reflexivity, and coaching efficacy (Feltz et al., 1999). Most studies that have analyzed training programs through the prism of coaching efficacy highlight the importance of initial training in developing these perceptions mainly through quantitative approaches (Malete & Feltz, 2000). Moreover, the formative circumstances that allow this professional development remain to be investigated. Through collaborative research with the National Technical Department (DTN) of the French Football Federation (FFF), this thesis aims to : (1) prepare a cross-cultural validation of the French version of the questionnaire measuring coaching efficacy in team sports (Myers et al., 2008), (2) examine the impact of training based on reflexivity, and (3) optimize the training system to develop the processes of coaching efficacy. This thesis is based on an anthropo-psychological approach (Escalie et al., 2021). Results of Study 1 present the first step of the validation procedure for a French version of the Coaching Efficacy Scale for team sports. Results of Study 2 highlight the training circumstances under which the coaching efficacy development is not optimized. Based on this observation, Study 3 presents a training optimization of the training program. The results show the significant impact of transformative training on coaching efficacy. From a theoretical point of view, this doctoral work is a contribution to the consolidation of the multidimensional model of effectiveness in coaching (Feltz et al., 1999).< Réduire
