This paper presents 3D-printed microwave absorbers based on two different carbon-loaded thermoplastics: PEKK (polyetherketoneketone) loaded with carbon nanotubes (CNT) and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) loaded with carbon black (CB). Wideband absorption is demonstrated with two structures, for which the fractional bandwidth of operation is adjusted from 105% to 123% by varying the geometry. Thereflection coefficients have been measured and compared to the simulation results from 2 to 18 GHz, showing a good agreement. At normal incidence, the two demonstrators, feature measuredreflection coefficients below -10 dB from 4.8 and 6 to 18 GHz. At best, the reflection coefficient remains below -10 dB for angles of incidence up to 50 for 74% of the measured bandwidth at normal incidence for the TE (Transverse-Electric) polarization and 97% for the TM (Transverse-Magnetic) polarization. Index Terms—3D-printing, absorber, additive manufacturing, carbon black, carbon nanotubes, composite, microwave, wideband.< Leer menos
