This mini symposium takes place in the framework of the Gulfstream project. The aim of this mini-symposium is to present the state-of-the-art of some sources and applications. Moreover, it tries to explore the question of how the extreme control allowed by laser cooling of neutral particles can introduce of ground-breaking new ion/electron sources. The variety of advanced applications in different fields, microscopy nanofabrication, imaging, spectroscopy, requires new tools and sources of charged particles.Read less <
