The analysis of the social and spatial integration of Murukan and his temples, on the global scale of Tamil Nadu, in landscape, and on local scale is of a great interest for geographical and religious knowledge of Tamil territory. We wish to define the main epistemological and methodological ways that are necessary to apprehend the implications of a Hindu god like Murukan in geography. In this respect, during this presentation of the geographical aspects of Murukan, we will try to point out few of the main methological themes and approaches that must not be forgotten in the geographical analysis of a Hindu deity, although this short presentation can not claim to be exhaustive.Read less <
