In this paper, an energy management system (EMS) of a grid-connected hybrid system, based on MPC methodology is presented. This approach is a control system based on the storage system model, which predicts the future output behavior of the storage system handling the power balance between the electricity supplied by the hybrid plant and the demand. This EMS aims to minimize electricity consumption from the grid by producing and consuming as much as possible renewable energy. To comply this, the hybrid power plant combines photovoltaic panels (PV), Li-Ion batteries and a chain of hydrogen (fuel cell, electrolyzer and hydrogen tank). The proposed control strategy has been implemented and tested using the Matlab/Simulink environment.< Réduire
