In this work a control procedure is applied to a two-dimensional slightly compressible flow over a backward-facing step. This low Reynolds number flow is computed by a Direct Numerical Simulation method and validated for some existing experimental and numerical results. Then, an oscillating inlet flow variation is applied to control the flow behavior inside the channel. The amplitude and the frequency effects are especially analyzed to obtain a better understanding of their influence on the shedding evolution and the recirculation zone behavior.Read less <
