| dc.description.abstract | La session était composée de courtes interventions de scientifiques et de gestionnaires forestiers afin d’apporter des regards croisés sur le rôle potentiel des ressources génétiques forestières (RGF) dans les stratégies de conservation de la biodiversité, plus particulièrement dans le cadre de l’adaptation des forêts au changement climatique. Basée sur des exemples concrets français, la session a exploré comment la conservation des RGF peut être combinée avec à la fois la conservation de la biodiversité, et la gestion forestière multifonctionnelle. En lien avec la motion 109, les synergies et les collaboration entre les forestiers et les conservateurs ont été discutées pour servir la mise en place de stratégies d’atténuation et d’adaptation au changement climatique pour les forêts en Europe. | |
| dc.description.abstractEn | In this workshop, we will explore the role Forest Genetic Resources in biodiversity conservation strategies, especially regarding forest adaptation to climate change. This workshop will be composed of short interventions of scientists and forest managers to cross views on the potential role Forest Genetic Resources in biodiversity conservation strategies, especially regarding forest adaptation to climate change. Based on specific French examples, this workshop will explore how Forest Genetic Resources conservation can be combined with both biodiversity conservation and forest multifunctional management plans. Along with motion 109, the possible synergies and collaboration between foresters and conservationists will be discussed to implement effective climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies for forests in Europe. - Introduction (Bruno Fady)- The genetic diversity of forest trees at the cross-road of biodiversity conservation and forest adaptation to climate change (François Lefèvre)- Combining conservation of forest genetic resources and biodiversity : the case of the Nature Reserve of the Val d’Allier (Aurore Desgroux and Guillaume Le Roux)- Combining conservation of forest genetic resources with multifunctionnal forest management : the case of Vachere domanial forest (Alexis Ducousso and Gérard Peyrotty)- The importance of forest genetic resources for forest sustainable management in Europe (Michele Bozzano)- Conclusion and take-home messages (Bruno Fady) | |
