dc.description.abstractEnIntermetallic compounds with the equiatomiccomposition CeTX that crystallize with the orthorhombicTiNiSi-type structure can be synthesized with electronrichtransition metals (T) and X = Zn, Al, Ga, Si, Ge, Sn,As, Sb, and Bi. The present review focusses on the crystalchemistry and chemical bonding of these CeTX phasesand on their physical properties, 119Sn and 121Sb Mössbauerspectra, high-pressure effects, hydrogenation reactionsand the formation of solid solutions in order to elucidatestructure–property relationships. This paper is the finalone of a series of four reviews on equiatomic intermetalliccerium compounds
