Mössbauer spectroscopy has been used for following the insulator -> metal transition versus temperature in ANiO3 perovskites (NdNiFe0.02O3 and LuNiFe0.02O3). The evolution of the number of 57Fe sites and the isomer-shift value at the transition bring important local information taking into account the role of the different factors (structural, geometrical, and bond covalency). Mössbauer measurements have been made as a function of temperature to study electronic and vibrational behavior of the 57Fe probe atoms in the nickelate structure.Read less <
