The second edition of the European Conference on Queueing Theory, which was held in Toulouse, France, July 18-20, 2016, attracted 112 presentations. After the conference, the contributors were invited to submit full-length papers to a special issue of PEVA. All the submissions to this special issue underwent a thorough reviewing process, on par with that for regular PEVA submissions, at the end of which nine papers were accepted. These nine papers cover both theoretical and methodological aspects as well as applications of queueing theory in domains like wireless networks, inventory systems, and cloud computing, We would like to thank the Technical Program Committee of ECQT and other anonymous referees for their timely reviews ensuring that the queueing delays for submissions were kept to a minimum. The next edition of the ECQT meeting will be held in Jerusalem (Israel) in July, 2018. We hope you will be able to attendRead less <
