Institut des Maladies Neurodégénératives (IMN) - UMR 5293
L’Institut des Maladies Neurodégénératives (IMN) (UMR 5293) est une Unité Mixte de Recherche associant l’Université de Bordeaux et le CNRS. Il regroupe 11 équipes de recherches fondamentale et préclinique et d’une équipe de Recherche clinique adossée au CHU de Bordeaux. L’IMN associe recherche fondamentale, préclinique et clinique dans le but de :
-Développer de nouvelles approches thérapeutiques des maladies neurodégénératives en facilitant la recherche translationnelle du laboratoire au lit du patient.
-D’accroître sa visibilité et son attractivité dans le champ des neurosciences translationnelles (Maladie de Parkinson et syndromes parkinsoniens atypiques, maladie d’Alzheimer, troubles obsessionnels compulsifs, etc.) et fondamentales (planification, cognition, contrôle moteur, substrats moléculaires de la transmission synaptique) en s’appuyant sur le potentiel de ses équipes et la dynamique mise en place depuis sa création.
